Frequently Asked Questions – Ontario EasyDrive Driving School

Are the 10 hours of in-car lessons enough?

The Ministry of Transportation requires a minimum of 10 hours of in-car training for BDE certification.

For many students, this is enough to prepare for the G2 road test. However, everyone learns at a different pace.

If your instructor feels additional practice would benefit you, we offer extra individual driving lessons and discounted packages. We also strongly recommend practicing with a qualified supervising driver outside of lessons — the more you drive, the more confident you become.

Once all 40 hours are completed, your certification is processed and added to your Driver’s License History (DLH).
